Yesterday I just wanted to fetch a manual at my office, when I saw a rare visitor at the Ångström laboratory in Uppsala. At first it looked like a normal sports car parked outside the side entrance – but then: why would a sports car be parked there?
It took me a moment to notice the cable between the car and the building, but then my curiosity awoke. Yes, it was an electric car, fueling up or charging its batteries. And not any electric car – it was a Tesla Roadster. On the image I wiped out the registration plate – but as far as I know the number of Tesla Roadsters in Sweden is limited, very limited.
It really made my day and I’m looking forward to see more electric cars around on the streets! But I still wonder what this car and its owner was doing in Uppsala and especially at the Ångström lab on a Saturday. It’s too bad that I wasn’t able to offer to charge the car with solar electricity from the roof-top test installation of solar cells which I am currently building…
